Susan has been a qualified Solicitor for sixteen years and a member of the Children's Panel since 1993. She has for the past ten years specialised in cases where social services are involved with families: Very often children may have been removed from the care of their families and placed in foster care; sometimes the children are going to be adopted against the wishes of their parents, it is in these types of situations that Susan offers advice and assistance to parents or, where the child is of sufficient understanding, the child itself.
Fiona has been a qualified Solicitor for ten years and a member of the Children's Panel as an Adult Representative for two years. She is able to represent adults, be they parents or other family members, within care proceedings and any other proceedings relating to children.

To gain membership of the Children's Panel both had to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of law relating to children. They have undertaken further training and undergone both a written examination and a compulsory interview to ensure that they are competent to deal with this very complex and important area of work. They were only accepted for membership of the Children's Panel when they adequately demonstrated to expert assessors that they had the appropriate skills and knowledge.
Fiona Bayliss-Stranks and AnnaMaria Stanford are both members of the Law Society Family Panel. To gain membership of this panel both have had to demonstrate a high level of competence in matrimonial and family law matters. Both Solicitors can offer advice and assistance to couples that are considering divorce or separation and in other areas involving family law. Examples of the types of cases which they are often asked about include: disputes about the division of money and matrimonial property upon separation; violence within a relationship and how protection can be acquired from the Courts and disputes about contact and residence in respect of children.
